Photo Book of the Week – Long Live the Large Family

Carl Johan De Geer – Long Live the Large Family
Edition of 250, 2010
Published by Dashwood Books together with Book-Hooray

This is my first book of 2010 and was really glad I got to go to the launch and signing for it last week. The work is very new to me, even though it was created in the 70s and 80s. The book is comprised of the “original grid composites of Carl Johan De Geer’s rare 1980 book MED KAMERAN SOM TROST (The Camera as Consolation).” The lightly coated matte paper with a slight yellow tint works very well with the imagery, as does the simple format and design.
