The Telemegaphone in Dale, Norway is essentially a large megaphone placed on top of a hill, overlooking a fjord, that projects phone calls placed to it. Organized in 2008 by Unsworn Telecom, this project was initially supposed to only last for a couple of months but is now a permanent landmark due to the mostly positive reception it received during the autumn of 2008.

Anyone is able to call the Telemegaphone ( +47 90 369389 ) and have their call projected to the town of Dale. It is closed right now for deer hunting season, but their website says it will re-open in “early 2010.”
