Mariken Wessels – Elisabeth – I want to eat.
Second Edition of 150, 2009
I have previously mentioned this book in my Top 9 of 2009 post, but I wanted to go through this book again. I love how simple this book is, entirely consisting of images and postcards found from a thrift store. A subtle but inherent narrative comes up after looking through the images, and is reinforced once the text is read. The design of this book is amazing, the matte stock really works well with the imagery and the texts are handled perfectly. This is definitely one of those books that changes and evolves the more you look at it, its something that I think will continue to stay fresh for quite a while.
