Photo Book of the Week – Desk Trajectories (As Is)

Penelope Umbrico – Desk Trajectories (As Is)
Published by Swill Children, 2010

This book features work from Penelope Umbrico’s series of found images of office desks for sale on craigslist and ebay. The book is really well thought out, mimicking the images themselves. It is printed with a high-density of black ink on lightweight newspaper, so after handling the book the ink rubs off onto your fingers (similar to the dust of these used desks).

The work is currently being shown at her exhibition ‘As Is’ at LMAKprojects

You can get the book through Swill Children
